Grace Baptist Church hosted the annual NW Regional FBFI Conference on March 16 & 17, 2026. We enjoyed having Dr. David Oliver from Ashley Baptist Church in Belding, MI speak on “When My Heart is Overwhelmed: Persevering in the Ministry.”

Guest Speaker: Dr. David Oliver
David A. Oliver (B.A., M.A., DPas.Th, D.D.) has been the pastor of Ashley Baptist Church in Belding, MI since 1994. Prior to being a pastor, Dr. Oliver traveled extensively as an evangelist, preaching in churches, camps, college chapels, conferences, and youth meetings. He serves as chairman of the board of trustees of Maranatha Baptist University, president of the board of Proclaiming the Truth Inc., (Neighborhood Bible Time), and president of board of the Independent Fundamental Baptist Fellowship of Michigan (Camp CoBeAc). He also served for 26 years as chaplain for two west Michigan fire departments before retiring in 2024. His columns appear regularly in the Greenville Daily News and Proclaim and Defend, the weblog of the Foundations Baptist Fellowship International. He and his wife Penny have been married since 1987 and have three children and three grandchildren.
